Can August Freight Rate Hikes Hold?

Rates are falling. Carriers are trying to reset the market.

The WCI has fallen for three consecutive weeks.

It now stands at $4,255 per 40ft.

That is around 8% below its mid-July peak.

Yet it remains 70% higher than last year.

At the same time, carriers are announcing new GRIs.
