The containership orderbook has reached 14.84m TEU.
That is equal to more than 43% of today’s fleet.
But ships do not create cargo.
And global demand does not grow evenly.
Some trades are expanding quickly.
Others are growing much more slowly.
Old ships are also staying in service longer.
This matters because deployment will shape rates, utilisation and asset values.
